Safety

I agree to dive no deeper than the depth for which I have received training and am qualified. I agree to follow the safe diving practices and recommendations of my training organisation(s). I agree not to exceed the maximum limit (see limits above) under any circumstances barring an emergency and that disregarding this limit will result in Mevagh Diving not permitting me to make further dives. I further understand that should this occur Mevagh Diving accept no responsibility for injuries that may occur and there will be no refund offered by Mevagh Diving for diving packages. I understand that scuba diving equipment is heavy and must be lifted correctly. I confirm that I have been advised and informed of the inherent hazards of skin and SCUBA diving. I understand that skin and SCUBA diving can cause physical strain or exertion, not normally experienced in non-diving situations. I choose to accept those risks. Recommended maximum depth: 30m. Maximum depth for those with deep diving certification: 40m. I agree to following no decompression diving.

Medical

I confirm that I have no current or historic illness, disease or medical condition, which could lead to the injury of myself, any other diver or employee of Mevagh Diving whilst skin or SCUBA diving. If I am in doubt as to my health past or present and the effect this may have on

dive safety, I agree to be independently medically examined prior to diving. I agree not to dive after consumption of alcohol, after use of medication or when feeling unwell.

Emergency

I agree to bear all the costs of medical treatment, search and recovery, transport charges in the event of an accident. Should the case arise that I am unable to decide for myself, I authorise Mevagh Diving and their agents to arrange medical treatment on my behalf.

Nature

I understand that, spear fishing, collecting of marine life (fish, corals or shells (dead or alive) is forbidden. I understand that there is marine life that may cause bodily injury if touched or harassed and therefore, I agree to not feed, touch or harass the marine life. I agree to practice proper buoyancy control at all times. (Please note that improper buoyancy and kicking up of sand spoils visibility and can damage marine life.

Equipment

Mevagh Diving regularly maintains scuba equipment used for the school and the rental department. This equipment is not in any way guaranteed either as to correct construction or safe use. Parties renting equipment will do so entirely upon their own judgement and at their own risk. I will inspect the equipment prior to diving and find that this is in good working order and free from defects. I agree to return the equipment at the end of the dive in the same condition, fair wear and tear expected, and I will be responsible for the loss or damage to the said equipment including freight charges and import duty.

Insurance covering personal accident, search and recovery costs is required by Irish Law. No diving is permitted without adequate diving Insurance.
